DETROIT, MI - The Detroit Lions just locked up one of the NFL's rising stars! Amon-Ra St. Brown has agreed to a massive 4-year, $120 million contract extension.
At just 24 years old, St. Brown is now one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the league, with an average annual salary of $24.67 million. This deal includes a whopping $77 million in guaranteed money, solidifying his future in the Motor City.
St. Brown's meteoric rise has been a sight to behold. In 2023, he exploded for 1,515 receiving yards, 119 receptions, and 10 touchdowns. His dominant performance was a driving force behind the Lions ending their 30-year playoff drought and winning their first division title since 1993.
With his precision route-running, sure hands, and ability to make plays after the catch, St. Brown has become an indispensable part of the Lions' offense. In fact, he had the lowest drop rate (1.2%) among all wide receivers with at least 125 targets last season.
This extension sets the market for other top young wideouts like Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, and Brandon Aiyuk, who are all negotiating new deals this offseason. St. Brown has firmly established himself as one of the elite receivers in the game.
Lions fans, your team has locked up a true superstar. Amon-Ra St. Brown is here to stay, and the future is bright in Detroit! This is a game-changing move that will have ripple effects across the NFL.
