Zach Wilson's tenure with the Jets might be reaching an end, as he's ruled out for the final game due to concussion protocol, possibly closing his 2023 season. Coach Saleh's recent statement on Wilson's future in New York was noncommittal, hinting at discussions that will be made after the season ends.
Despite the high expectations after Wilson was drafted with the No. 2 pick in 2021, the BYU QB has struggled transitioning to the pro level, especially after the Jets' plans with Aaron Rodgers fell apart. While he has shown glimpses of potential and grabbed an AFC Offensive Player of the Week title, the overall production might not keep him around Metlife Stadium much longer.
A fresh start might be in the cards for Wilson, and maybe he can find similar succuess to Baker Mayfield's recent journey. Let's see what's next for the young QB, whether it's a new city or a surprising return to the Jets! 🛫🏙️
