Philadelphia Eagles OT Jordan Mailata agrees to three-year, $66M extension

By: Sean Davis - 4/4/24

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Philly has reached an agreement on a three-year, $66 million extension with their starting left tackle.

This extension ensures Mailata will remain with the Eagles through 2028. Mailata's journey from rugby player to successful NFL left tackle is a testament to the International Player Pathway program. The Eagles took a chance on his raw talent and potential, and it has paid off tremendously.

With Jason Kelce retiring, Philly's offensive line will face some changes, but Mailata's extension secures the left tackle position for the foreseeable future. The three-year deal, averaging $22 million per season, places him among the top left tackles in the league. This move not only ensures Mailata's presence in Philly long-term but also provides flexibility for the team's cap space, giving Howie Roseman more room to make strategic moves in the future.
