Chase Young is preparing to relocate to a new NFL team for the second time in the past five months. The former No. 2 overall pick of the 2020 draft is set to finalize a one-year, $13 million contract with the New Orleans Saints, with the entire amount guaranteed.
After spending the latter part of the 2023 season with the San Francisco 49ers, Young made an impact on their defense, helping them reach the Super Bowl. Despite the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime, Young's performance included 18 tackles and 3.5 sacks, with one sack against Patrick Mahomes in the championship game.
Joining the Saints, Young will have the opportunity to prove himself once again alongside established players like Cameron Jordan. Despite facing setbacks due to injuries in the past, Young is focused on hunting quarterbacks this upcoming season with the Saints, and now won't worry about any potential trades or transitions.
