By: Sean-E Football 1/7/2024

After three seasons of setbacks, the Texans sealed their AFC playoff berth with a thrilling 23-19 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, marking their return to the postseason since 2019. The team's remarkable journey under first year head coach DeMeco Ryans, paired with rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud's stellar performance, has been incredible.

In a captivating showdown against the Colts, Stroud's skill was on display, connecting with Nico Collins for a 75-yard touchdown on their first offensive play. Stroud had a remarkable night with: 20 of 26 for 264 yards and two touchdowns, while Collins snagged nine receptions for 195 yards and a score.

Coach Ryans praised Stroud's performance this year, highlighting him as one of the league's premier passers, establishing himself as a strong candidate for NFL Coach of the Year with the Texans achieving a 10-7 record from a 3-13-1 finish last year. Stroud's exceptional performance positions him as a frontrunner for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, leading a young, promising group that have reshaped the Texans' future.

With playoffs in sight and a promising young core, Houston's future looks brighter than ever!
