The NFL Scouting Combine will remain in Indianapolis for the 2026 event, continuing the city's long-standing association with this annual pre-draft showcase. The announcement was made by Peter O'Reilly, the NFL's executive vice president for club business and league events, who emphasized the successful partnership with local organizations, including Visit Indy and the Indianapolis Colts.
Since its inception in 1987, the combine has been held in Indianapolis every year, although there have been discussions about potentially moving it to other cities. Despite these considerations, the NFL has chosen to return to Indianapolis each season since 2021. O'Reilly highlighted that Indianapolis is uniquely equipped to host such a complex event, facilitating smooth operations for prospects, team personnel, and media.
The upcoming 2025 NFL Combine is scheduled to take place from February 27 to March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium, marking the 38th consecutive year for the event in Indianapolis. Over 300 prospects are expected to participate in workouts, athletic testing, interviews, and medical evaluations. Local officials expressed their commitment to enhancing the fan experience and ensuring that Indianapolis remains a prime location for this significant football event.
