PHILADELPHIA, PA - It sounds like the WWE is actively pursuing recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce to participate in WrestleMania 40, which is taking place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia this weekend.
Kelce holds a special place in the hearts of Philadelphia fans, having dedicated his entire 13-year NFL career to the Eagles before announcing his retirement. His involvement in WrestleMania would undoubtedly be met with great enthusiasm from the local crowd.
WrestleMania has a long-standing tradition of incorporating celebrities into its lineup, dating all the way back to its inaugural event in 1985. Over the years, iconic figures such as Mr. T, Muhammad Ali, Cyndi Lauper, and Liberace have graced the WrestleMania stage. WWE consistently strives to make WrestleMania a grand spectacle.
Not only will the crowd in Philly go wild for Jason Kelce, but his presence at WrestleMania would also attract mainstream attention. By involving Jason Kelce, WWE has the opportunity to draw even more viewers to WrestleMania. Even if it's just a short appearance in the ring or backstage to amp up the crowd, Kelce has proven himself to be the ultimate hype man. His unforgettable speech during the Eagles' Super Bowl parade in 2018 showcased his ability to energize and captivate an audience. WWE would be wise to capitalize on this talent.
If Jason does make an appearance at WrestleMania, he will join a prestigious list of NFL stars who have done the same. This includes legendary names like Lawrence Taylor, Rob Gronkowski, George Kittle, Reggie White, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, and William "The Refrigerator" Perry. The addition of Jason Kelce to this list would only further elevate the excitement and anticipation surrounding WrestleMania.
